Lancaster County’s own Phyllis Good, author of the bestselling Fix-it and Forget-It series, returns with a brand new cookbook, debuting at Aaron’s Books in Lititz on Saturday, September 16 from 2 to 4 pm.
Her new slow cooker bible Stock the Crock: 100 Must-Have Slow Cooker Recipes, with 200 Variations for Every Appetite includes both recipes and easy-to-follow variations for any dietary preference, including gluten-free, paleo, and vegan.
Phyllis’ appearance at Aaron’s Books will feature food samples for early arrivals, two short presentations during the visit, and time for questions and book signings. ONLY books purchased at Aaron’s may be presented for signing.
It’s been almost 20 since the debut of her groundbreaking first slow cooker books and 10 years since the last one. Phyllis has sold more than 14 million cookbooks in the US, greater than than the combined works of popular Food Network hosts Ina Garten, Giada De Laurentiis, and Jamie Oliver.
“We’re flooded with recipes, and we need to know which are the absolute best ones. Those 100 recipes are in this new book,” Good says. “My commitment is to make it possible for everyone to cook who would like to, even if they have too little time or too little confidence.”
Phyllis spends her time writing on a variety of subjects, editing books, and cooking new recipes. She and her husband, Merle, are the parents of two daughters and delight in their two grandsons.
