Council of Friends of Lancaster County Public Libraries to host International best selling and award-winning Irish author, at their 13th Annual Author Luncheon!
John Boyne is leaving his native Dublin, Ireland to visit Lancaster County! The award-winning author will appear at the 2013 Spring Author Luncheon on Monday, April 22nd at 12:00 noon at the Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA. Mr. Boyne is making a special visit to Lancaster County while on a six-city USA tour where he will be promoting the US publication of his novel, The House of Special Purpose. He will also be appearing at Naperville, IL; Chicago; Boston; Washington, DC; and St. Louis, MO.
The Council of Friends of Public Libraries, Aaron’s Books and the Library System of Lancaster County will host the luncheon, which is a fundraising event for public libraries in Lancaster County.
John Boyne was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1971. He is the author of nine novels (seven for adults and two for children), including The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, which was made into an award-winning film. The novel also won two Irish Book Awards, was short-listed for the British Book Award, reached the top of the New York Times Best Sellers list, and has sold more than five million copies. His novels are published in forty-five languages. He lives in Dublin.
